Villa Hernandarias implements urban reforestation plan

The Municipality of Villa Hernandarias has launched an urban and institutional reforestation plan across various locations in the coastal town. Executed through an agreement with the company Indavisa, which donated the tree specimens, the initiative includes planting in sports grounds, health facilities, and road access points.

Operational crews have completed initial tasks at the Club Atlético Independiente grounds and are continuing work near Club Atlético Hernandarias. The schedule includes planting in front of the Hospital Vecinal San Martín and will conclude with the creation of a forest curtain and native groves along Provincial Route 8. Technical selection criteria involved choosing poplars for shade at sports venues and the native ivirapitá species for the hospital area.

Additionally, the municipality is conducting a survey of old trees to prevent risks to infrastructure and resident safety in Plaza 9 de Julio. Parallel to these efforts, the local government is managing a community garden that produces seasonal vegetables for direct public sale.
