Villa La Angostura to launch Ecopoint recycling network
Villa La Angostura is advancing the implementation of an Ecopoint Network designed to strengthen waste separation at the source and increase the recovery of recyclable materials. Local authorities, council members, merchants, and environmental organizations have agreed to move forward with the first stage of the project.
During an extraordinary session scheduled for October, the municipality plans to use resources from the Environmental Fund to finance the acquisition of the first ten differentiated collection points. This infrastructure is intended to progressively expand the local system for material recovery.
The initiative also includes a reorientation of environmental education programs, focusing on increased territorial presence and targeted outreach to the adult population. Neighborhood boards will play a key role in acting as a link to various districts to promote permanent waste separation habits in households.
