Police conduct multiple arrests for fraud and exploitation in Argentina and Spain

Multiple criminal investigations have led to several arrests across Argentina and Spain.

In La Plata, Argentina, authorities arrested three individuals and are searching for a fourth woman in connection with a real estate scam. The investigation involves the irregular sale of residential lots in the Sophenia and Garden developments, where buyers were allegedly misled regarding land titles and services.

In Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, ‘Operation Faraona’ resulted in the arrest of a Spanish woman accused of sexually exploiting five vulnerable women, primarily from South America. The victims were reportedly forced to work 24/7 and surrender half of their earnings. Police also seized cash, drugs, and surveillance equipment used to monitor the women.

In Argentina, several separate arrests were made for sexual offenses. In José C. Paz, a Paraguayan man was captured for the alleged sexual abuse of his niece. In Villa Lugano, a man with an international arrest warrant was detained for crimes against minors. In Rosario, a 43-year-old man was arrested for sexual abuse following a complaint from a former partner.

Additionally, in San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina, a man was detained after threatening pedestrians with a machete.
