Villa María and Verbo Divino win interschool athletics championships

Villa María Academy and Verbo Divino have secured victories in the Club Atlético Santiago interschool athletics tournaments. Villa María won the 78th “Ilse Barends Heck” Female Athletics Championship with 202.5 points, followed by Los Alerces and Nazaret.

In the men's competition, Verbo Divino claimed the 91st “Mario Correa Letelier” Tournament with 430.5 points, ahead of Tabancura and San Anselmo. The event, held at the Estadio Nacional and Estadio Mario Recordón, saw a total of ten school records broken.

Notable individual and team achievements included Francisco Larraín of Verbo Divino setting a new 100-meter record with a time of 10.82 seconds. Additionally, the Los Alerces intermediate female relay team broke the CAS relay record, and the Verbo Divino intermediate male 5x300 relay team set a new mark of 3:01.48.
