Villa María implements AI-enhanced surveillance and labor workshops

The city of Villa María has expanded its security and social support initiatives. The local Monitoring and Video Surveillance Center now operates with 432 cameras, providing 24/7 coverage to enhance crime prevention and response times. The system has integrated artificial intelligence tools designed to automatically detect events and generate real-time alerts for operators, who coordinate directly with the Córdoba Provincial Police.

In addition to security measures, the municipality is conducting labor orientation workshops for individuals facing problematic substance consumption. These programs are held in collaboration with the Municipal Addiction Center, Hogar de Cristo, and the municipal Employment Office. The workshops aim to foster autonomy and social inclusion by helping participants identify skills and build occupational projects to facilitate reentry into the workforce.
