Villa María inaugurates Paseo del Sanitarista pocket forest

The Paseo del Sanitarista, a “pocket forest” located in the Parque Norte neighborhood of Villa María, features more than 70 species of plants and trees. Inaugurated on May 15, 2024, the space was created through a municipal proposal to honor sanitation workers who have managed the city's water and sewage systems for over three decades.

The area, situated on Avenida de la Misericordia, includes native trees and aromatic plants such as lavender, rosemary, sage, oregano, and asclepias. Designed as an educational and recreational space, it aims to allow citizens to observe biodiversity and enjoy nature. Recent additions to the site include 30 new trees and a hydration point.
