Villa María installs new electronic waste recycling container

The Municipality of Villa María has installed a new electronic waste container in Parque Pereira y Domínguez, located near Municerca 2 at the intersection of Rawson and Chile streets. The initiative aims to facilitate the recycling of obsolete devices and prevent them from reaching the final disposal cell at the Environmental Management Center.

The container is available Monday through Friday during morning hours. It is designed to receive items such as computers, printers, cartridges, music equipment, and small household appliances. For security and organizational purposes, the container remains locked; residents must notify municipal staff at Municerca 2 to have it opened for deposits.

Once the container reaches capacity, the materials are collected and sent to a specialized company for recycling. This new point joins existing waste management infrastructure in the city, which includes 20 dry waste separation points and specific containers for batteries located in front of the municipal building.
