Villa María launches infrastructure plan to prevent flooding

The Municipality of Villa María has officially launched the ‘Plan 100% Cordón Cuneta’, an urban infrastructure program aimed at improving rainwater drainage and organizing road circulation. The project is designed to mitigate flooding and prepare the ground for future paving and road network improvements.

Initial works are being carried out on Constituyentes Street, specifically between Presidente Perón and Victorino de la Plaza, directly benefiting the Evita and Las Playas neighborhoods. This first phase covers 30 blocks, part of a larger goal to intervene in 250 blocks across various urban sectors.

Ángel Quaglia, Secretary of Urban Services, stated that the project responds to specific needs raised by residents of the Evita neighborhood and follows the decision of Mayor Eduardo Accastello. The initiative complements existing municipal programs such as ‘100% LED’ and ‘100% Agua’ to strengthen basic service provision throughout the urban area.
