Villa María's Philatelic and Numismatic Center celebrates 75 years

The Centro Filatélico y Numismático Villa María celebrated its 75th anniversary with an event held at the Municipal Medioteca. The celebration featured exhibitions of stamps, coins, banknotes, and medals, highlighting how these items serve as historical documents for reconstructing local history.

The event included participation from approximately 20 collectors and more than 40 members of the institution. Activities included talks on numismatics and postal history, the display of a restored antique mailbox, and musical performances by the Big Band Villa María.

Various local groups participated in the festivities, including the Asociación Villamariense de Autos Antiguos, the Asociación de Granaderos Reservistas, and the Instituto Municipal de Historia. During the ceremony, the Deliberative Council presented a declaration of municipal interest to the Center, recognizing its role in preserving the city's cultural and historical heritage.
