Latin America reports surge in violent crimes and homicides
Multiple violent incidents have been reported across various regions in Latin America. In Córdoba, Argentina, a 16-year-old was shot and killed; authorities detained his 35-year-old stepfather and a 17-year-old relative. In Medellín, Colombia, Esteban Ramírez Parra, a sales manager for Coca-Cola, was fatally shot during a robbery involving a gold chain and mobile phones.
Other notable crimes include a security guard in Talca, Chile, who is in critical condition after being shot while preventing a robbery at a mall. In San Juan, Argentina, a 17-year-old died following a stabbing during a student celebration. In El Alto, Bolivia, a woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her husband following a domestic dispute.
Additional reports include a fatal stabbing in Villa Altagracia, Dominican Republic, and various other incidents involving machete attacks and street fights in Argentina, Venezuela, and Cojedes, Venezuela.
