Villa Pamphili trial: Witnesses describe Anastasia Trofimova as fearful of Kaufmann

Witnesses in the trial of Francis Kaufmann, accused of the double homicide of Anastasia Trofimova and her daughter Andromeda at Villa Pamphili, have testified that Trofimova appeared frightened of the defendant.

A security guard at a restaurant in Piazza Farnese reported seeing a bloodied man accompanied by a woman and a child in May, noting that the woman appeared to be in fear of the man beside her. Other witnesses at the San Silverio market observed the trio frequently eating and using public facilities between April and May, though they noted the group rarely spoke to one another.

The prosecution is currently awaiting a response from Russian authorities regarding the possibility of the victims' parents testifying via videoconference. If they cannot appear, the court may rely on existing police reports and statements.
