Villa Ripa residents organize security following wave of burglaries

Residents of Villa Ripa, a hamlet in Teramo, are organizing neighborhood patrols, installing private lighting, and creating DIY window security systems following a wave of burglaries.

In one recent incident, a thief entered a home through a hole in a window, stealing approximately 90 euros and potentially silver items. The intruder reportedly caused significant distress to a resident who encountered a large silhouette in her bedroom. Carabinieri are investigating the matter, noting that the suspect may be linked to similar incidents in nearby areas such as Torricella.
