Villa Tugendhat in Brno hosts video‑mapping light show for UNESCO anniversary
The Brno City Museum organized a video‑mapping light show on the façade of the modernist Villa Tugendhat to mark the 25th anniversary of the building’s inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Projectors illuminated the villa’s white walls for an eight‑minute display that was repeated at regular intervals until midnight, accompanied by instrumental music and mirror‑ball installations in the garden.
Hundreds of visitors gathered in the villa’s grounds, including local resident Alexander Mychno and his wife, who described the event as “a summer New Year’s Eve”. Museum director Zbyněk Šolc said the project was intended to celebrate the heritage site “in a way that matches its quality and significance”.
