Villa Verde water pipe burst floods Quattrostrade, Italy, resolved by officials
A ruptured water pipe beneath the pine forest of Villa Verde in the Quattrostrade district of Rieti caused the street and surrounding area to flood, affecting about 72 residents. The local Committee of Quattrostrade, led by President Gianpaolo Mazzetto and member Ennio Cesi, promptly contacted municipal authorities. Joint actions involved Assessor Fabio Nobili, engineer Paride Ricciardi, senior urban maintenance official Stefano Berton, the director of the Bonifica Consortium Vincenzo Gregori, operator Giovanni Vincenti, and the contracted firm Rossetto. Vincenti halted the water flow, allowing Rossetto to repair the broken conduit and secure the site. The coordinated response restored normal conditions and prevented further damage.
