Villa Victoria, Mexico and La Victoria, Peru launch municipal infrastructure upgrades
The municipal government of Villa Victoria in Mexico began seven infrastructure projects in the municipality’s northern zone, investing more than 16 million pesos. The works include second‑stage concrete paving in six neighborhoods, expansion of the public‑security electricity network, and plans for additional road, water, and drainage improvements funded by FAISMUN, FEFOM, GIDEM and local resources. Mayor Mario Santana Carbajal highlighted the goal of safer, more durable roadways and broader basic‑service coverage.
In Peru, the La Victoria municipality inaugurated a pavement renovation in Zone 37, aiming to improve traffic flow, pedestrian safety and access to homes, schools and businesses. The ceremony involved local residents, neighborhood leaders and officials, who said the project is part of a broader effort to modernise the district’s public spaces and urban infrastructure.
