Village in the Shade Limited Edition and roadmap announced

NIS America has announced a physical Limited Edition for the hand-painted farming simulator Village in the Shade. The collector’s package includes a collector’s box, an artbook, the original soundtrack, an acrylic block, and metal pins. The game, developed by Nippon Ichi Software, is set in the Japanese mountain village of Kagatsu and features a unique atmosphere where players must follow specific rules to avoid unsettling encounters, or opt for a “Village in the Sunshine” mode for a standard farming experience.

Following its release in Japan, where it sold over 250,000 copies, the game is scheduled for a Western launch on October 27 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. NIS America also revealed a content roadmap, including two free launch patches that will add new furniture, livestock, farmland expansion, and birthday events. Further DLC featuring new scenarios, gameplay systems, and maps is planned for Spring 2027.
