Villahermosa 2030 mobility project enters Phase 1

Victoria Arévalo Zenteno, head of the Secretaría de Ordenamiento Territorial y Obras Públicas (SOTOP), clarified that the current bidding and contracting for the Villahermosa 2030 (V2030) mobility and urbanism megaproject covers only Phase 1.

This initial phase focuses on the Paseo Tabasco corridor and includes basic and executive engineering, infrastructure intervention, and transport equipment. Specific works involve the re-adaptation of a road bridge, the extension of the Paseo Tabasco section, the construction of a maneuvering yard, the installation of initial bus stops, and the acquisition of bus units.

The second stage of the project is scheduled to begin in 2027, following the consolidation of the initial phase works.
