Villains Are Destined to Die anime adaptation officially confirmed

An anime adaptation of the popular web novel and manhwa "Villains Are Destined to Die" (also known as "Penelope" or "Akuyaku no Ending wa Shi nomi") has been officially confirmed. The announcement coincides with the conclusion of the manhwa's main story, which ended with chapter 214 on the Piccoma platform.

The series, written by Gwon Gyeoeul and illustrated by SUOL, follows a young woman who reincarnates into a dating simulation game as the antagonist, Penelope Eckhart. Trapped in "hard mode," she must navigate dangerous relationships with various male characters to avoid a fatal end.

While the announcement confirms the project is in production, specific details regarding the animation studio, voice cast, release date, and episode count have not yet been disclosed. The original work has seen significant commercial success, accumulating millions of views across platforms like KakaoPage and Tapas.
