Various Spanish municipalities are implementing local infrastructure projects and budget updates. In Santander, the City Council has presented a 2027 draft budget of approximately 284.8 million euros, representing a 7% increase from 2026. The plan allocates 72.5 million euros for investments, including sustainable development and citizen services.

In Getxo, the Villamonte culture center has reopened its renovated library following a year-long project.
In Fuencaliente, the 2027 budget includes 80,000 euros specifically to assist residents with building their first homes. Meanwhile, in San Fernando, a contract has been awarded to inventory and clean the permanent collection at the Castillo de San Romualdo. Politically, in Santiago, the PP has accused the PSOE of facilitating budget approvals for Mayor Gonzalo Pérez Jácome through alleged undisclosed agreements.
