Villanova residents demand roundabouts on Via Emilia after accident

Residents of Villanova are demanding urgent infrastructure improvements following a serious traffic accident on Via Emilia. The community is calling for the installation of at least two roundabouts to manage high traffic density and improve safety.

Protesters have identified the intersection of via Bassetta and via Rio Cozzi as a critical danger zone, noting that high speeds and difficult merging patterns create significant risks for both motorists and pedestrians. Residents also highlighted the intersection of via Rio Voltre and via del Braldo as a necessary site for a new roundabout.

In addition to road safety concerns, locals expressed frustration over a perceived lack of public services despite population growth, citing the closure of the local school and the absence of a post office.
