Villarejo Periesteban to host inaugural noir literary festival
Villarejo Periesteban will host the inaugural edition of ‘La Condená’, a literary festival dedicated to the noir genre, from September 24 to 26. Organized by writers and curators Ana Isabel Fernández Escribano and Inés Plana, the event aims to bring culture to rural municipalities by combining crime fiction with local gastronomy.
The program features roundtables, author signings, criminology sessions, and various shows. Notable participants include writers Marta Robles, Santiago Díaz, Cruz Morcillo, and Jon Arretxe. The festival will be inaugurated by local authors Alberto Val, Ana Belén Rodríguez Patiño, and Jorge Ortega.
In addition to the literary activities, a gastronomic fair will showcase regional products such as cheeses, garlic, ham, wines, and sweets, highlighting the culinary traditions of the La Mancha region.
