Villarreal and CE Manacor to face off in Copa del Rey debut

Villarreal CF will travel to Mallorca to face CE Manacor at the Na Capellera stadium for their Copa del Rey debut. The match, scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, marks an unprecedented encounter between the two clubs.

For CE Manacor, the fixture carries significant emotional weight due to strong ties to the Valencian Community. The club's manager, Miguel Aguado, and captain, Chato, are both from Valencia, while club president Sergi Muntaner is a supporter of Valencia CF. These connections add a layer of sporting rivalry to the match, as Villarreal is viewed as a major competitor to the Valencian side.

Villarreal aims to maintain recent positive momentum following a dominant performance against Valencia. While rotations are expected, the team seeks to avoid the difficulties experienced in previous cup campaigns where they struggled to progress past the early rounds.
