Real Betis faces Elche in La Liga clash amid squad absences

Real Betis visits Elche at the Martínez Valero stadium this Sunday for a La Liga match. Betis currently sits fourth in the standings with 23 points, while Elche occupies seventeenth place with 10 points.

Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini faces selection challenges due to the FIFA international window, with nine players called up to their respective national teams, including Álvaro Valles, Marc Roca, and Nelson Deossa. Additionally, Giovani Lo Celso is notably absent from the squad due to a technical decision by Pellegrini rather than injury.

Elche enters the match seeking its first home victory of the season. The team is dealing with significant injuries, most notably the absence of Thomas Lemar and Marc Aguado. Manager Martín Anselmi is expected to adjust his midfield options, potentially utilizing Facundo Buonanotte to fill the void.
