Villarreal coach Iñigo Pérez assumes responsibility after heavy defeat

Villarreal manager Iñigo Pérez has taken full responsibility following a 0-6 defeat against PSG. Speaking after the match at La Cerámica, Pérez described the squad as being in a state of deep distress and bitterness due to the performance.

The coach attributed the loss to errors in tactical concepts and mental approach when conceding consecutive goals. Pérez noted that his own planning failed to translate into execution on the pitch, stating, “It is clear that when you lose a match in this manner, there is no other way but to point to the coach.”
