Villarreal targets Anderlecht midfielder Nathan Saliba

Villarreal CF is reportedly pursuing a transfer for Canadian midfielder Nathan Saliba from RSC Anderlecht. Reports indicate that the Spanish club has initiated negotiations to bring the 22-year-old to La Liga.

There are conflicting reports regarding the potential transfer fee. One source suggests a bid exceeding 15 million euros has been placed, which would represent a significant profit for Anderlecht given they acquired him from CF Montréal for approximately 2 million euros. Another report suggests the base fee could be around 6 million euros, with variables potentially pushing the total toward 10 million euros.

Saliba, who joined Anderlecht in 2025, has become a key player for both his club and the Canadian national team. While he was previously considered essential to Anderlecht's squad, recent fluctuations in form under coach Vitor Bruno have coincided with this transfer interest.
