Villars to Assume Management of Boschaud Abbey

The municipal council of Villars voted unanimously to amend the statutes of the community of communes Dronne et Belle, enabling the commune to take over management of the historic Boschaud Abbey. Council president Jean‑Paul Couvy announced the change during the July 30 meeting, which also included a presentation by Sébastien Billon and Pierre Huaulmé of the consultancy Équipage on a €22 million real‑estate and energy master plan for the inter‑communal assets. The transfer of the abbey’s administration is expected to occur as soon as the statutory amendment is finalized.
