Villavicencio police arrest man for mobile phone theft

The Metropolitan Police of Villavicencio arrested a man in flagrante for the theft of a mobile phone in the El Rodeo sector of Meta, Colombia.

According to authorities, the suspect approached a merchant and requested to use their phone to make a call. Once in possession of the device, the individual allegedly fled the scene. Officers from the CAI Ganadero patrol responded to the alert and conducted a search that led to the suspect's capture.

Police recovered the device, which is valued at approximately 2 million pesos, and returned it to the owner. Both the suspect and the recovered evidence have been handed over to the Attorney General's Office for legal proceedings.
