Ville Aperte in Brianza offers guided tours of regional heritage

The Ville Aperte in Brianza program, promoted by the Province of Monza and Brianza, continues its series of guided tours through historical and cultural sites across the region.

In Saronno, scheduled visits for September 26 and 27 include Villa Gianetti and the Giuseppe Gianetti Ceramics Museum. Visitors can explore the neo-Renaissance Villa Gianetti, which features collections related to painter Francesco De Rocchi and soprano Giuditta Pasta. The Ceramics Museum will host a previously unexposed collection of 20th-century paintings, creating a dialogue between various artistic materials and styles.

In the Solaro and Ceriano Laghetto area, the program features the former Polveriera, a military ammunition depot used from 1914 through 1989. The site, which survived Allied bombings in 1944, has been transformed into a public natural space. Guided tours allow visitors to see watchtowers, a bunker, and other military relics integrated into the local vegetation. Participation is free, though reservations are required.
