Ville Koski scores first La Liga goal for Deportivo Alavés

Finnish defender Ville Koski has scored his first goal in La Liga while playing for Deportivo Alavés. The 23-year-old former Istra 1961 player found the net during a match against Racing de Santander.

Koski scored in the 21st minute following a set piece. After a cross into the penalty area, he reacted quickly to a saved ball to slot it into the unguarded net.

Koski joined Alavés on loan from the Croatian club Istra 1961 this summer in a record-breaking transfer worth three million euros. The move was facilitated by shared ownership through the Baskonia-Alavés business group. Koski previously played for Istra 1961 after arriving from Inter Turku.
