Villena launches 110,000 euro consumer voucher program
The Villena City Council is launching a new edition of the ‘Bono Consumo’ starting October 5 to stimulate local commerce, hospitality, and services. The initiative is backed by 110,000 euros in municipal funds, which aims to mobilize at least 220,000 euros in direct consumption among participating businesses.
The program operates on a 50% subsidy model, where the council covers half the value of each voucher and the consumer pays the other half. Vouchers are available in denominations of 20, 50, 100, and 200 euros, with a maximum limit of 200 euros per person. These are nominative and linked to a DNI or NIE.
Notably, the campaign is open to individuals over 18 regardless of whether they reside in or are registered in Villena. Additionally, 30,000 euros of the total funds have been specifically reserved to facilitate participation for citizens over the age of 60.
