Villena Municipal Pool Sports Center completes 250,000 euro renovation

The Villena Municipal Pool Sports Center has officially reopened its renovated gym and activity rooms following an investment exceeding 250,000 euros by the service's contractor. The upgrades aim to modernize the facilities, which have been in operation since 2012, and serve the center's approximately 1,500 members.

Key improvements include the renovation of 250 square meters of gym space featuring new flooring and state-of-the-art machinery. The new equipment includes 20 cardio machines—such as treadmills, bicycles, ellipticals, rowers, and a stair climber—alongside ten selectorized machines, indoor cycling bikes, and various strength training tools like Olympic bars and dumbbells.

Additionally, over 200 square meters of flooring in the directed activity rooms have been replaced with 9mm thick non-slip rubber to improve comfort and reduce injury risks. The project also involved updating lighting, renovating the indoor cycling room, and improving the sauna facilities.
