Villena sees record candidates for 2027 festival roles

Villena has concluded the application period for the positions of Regidora or Regidor (Mayor and Infantil) for the 2027 Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos. The process saw record participation with a total of 22 candidates.

In the adult category, 16 individuals have applied, consisting of 13 women and three men. Additionally, six children have submitted candidacies for the Infantil category. Applicants will undergo personal interviews on August 26 at the Casa de la Cultura, where their knowledge of Villena and its traditional festivals will be evaluated.
