Villers-lès-Nancy woman charged in partner's death
A 48-year-old woman has been placed under judicial supervision after being charged with voluntary violence resulting in death and failure to assist a person in danger in Villers-lès-Nancy, France.
The incident followed a domestic dispute involving alcohol between the woman and her 47-year-old partner. The man was treated in emergency services on a Saturday night for a head wound, reportedly caused by the woman striking him with a bottle. Although he returned home with his partner on Sunday morning, he was found dead the following Monday.
While the suspect initially admitted to intentionally striking her partner with a bottle, she later changed her statement to claim the blow was involuntary. An autopsy and further expert examinations are pending to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
