Vilmar Paranhos Júnior appointed Housing Secretary in Rondonópolis

Rondonópolis Mayor Cláudio Ferreira has appointed Vilmar Rodrigues Paranhos Júnior as the new Municipal Secretary of Housing and Urbanism. The appointment, officially published in the Municipal Electronic Official Gazette, takes effect on Monday, October 26.

Paranhos Júnior, who previously served as the municipality's deputy attorney general, has a long history in public service, including roles in the Municipal Chamber of Rondonópolis and as head of the city's representation office in Brasília. He has also served as interim secretary for the departments of Government, Health, and Housing and Urbanism.

The Secretariat of Housing and Urbanism (SMHAU) is responsible for analyzing and approving building and subdivision projects, executing housing programs, and managing urban and rural land regularization. Current priorities for the department include the revision of the Master Plan, regulating changes to the Building Code, and selecting families for new stages of the Celina Bezerra Residential development.
