Vilnius hosts international tourism technology forum

More than 200 experts, investors, and representatives from various European nations gathered in Vilnius for the Lithuania Tourism Technology Forum. Organized by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the event focused on the future of travel technology, sustainable tourism development, and smart city solutions.

Discussions highlighted the role of artificial intelligence and digital agendas in transforming the traveler experience and increasing destination competitiveness. The forum also featured the ‘Discover Lithuania’ startup challenge, held in collaboration with the United Nations World Tourism Organization and the European Commission’s European Capital of Tourism secretariat. Five startups from Lithuania, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Greece presented solutions aimed at environmental protection, managing tourist flows, and extending tourism seasons.
