Vilnius launches awards for foreign-born creators and businesses

The inaugural ‘Vilnius Is My City Awards’ has launched, inviting residents to vote for foreign-born individuals and businesses that have contributed to the capital’s growth and culture. Organized by the Vilnius City Bureau of Tourism and Business Development, ‘Go Vilnius’, the awards aim to recognize the impact of international talent on the city’s identity.

Finalists have been selected across four categories, including ‘For Business Building Vilnius’. Notable nominees include the technology company Vinted, which grew from a local startup into a major European tech firm while maintaining its headquarters in Vilnius. Public voting is currently underway to determine the winners.
