Vilnius opens sports complex for LASUC and German military children

A new multifunctional sports complex has opened in Vilnius, designed to serve both students of the Lithuanian Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (LASUC) and children of German soldiers stationed in Lithuania.

The facility includes courts for basketball, football, tennis, padel, and volleyball, as well as areas for shot put, a gym, and a modern running track. The project was implemented by the Vilnius City Municipality with approximately 1 million euros in state budget funding.

Officials attending the opening, including Minister of Education, Science and Sport Raminta Popovienė and Deputy Minister of National Defence Bronius Bieliauskas, emphasized that the infrastructure supports long-term partnership and security. They noted that providing a high-quality living environment for military families is essential for the integration of German troops and their families into Lithuanian daily life.
