Vilnius to host 17th Velomaratonas cycling event

The 17th Velomaratonas cycling event will take place this Sunday in the center of Vilnius, attracting thousands of professional cyclists, amateurs, and families. As the largest cycling event in the Baltic states, the race will feature participants starting from Independence Square and traveling through Gediminas Avenue, the Old Town, and various major streets including Karaliaus Mindaugo Bridge and Žvėrynas Bridge.

Due to the event, significant traffic restrictions will be in place in central Vilnius. Major road closures are scheduled from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, though some sections of Gediminas Avenue and A. Mickevičiaus Street may remain restricted until 10:00 PM. Parking is prohibited along the entire cycling route.
