Vilnius to host inaugural Augalyn Fest plant-based food festival

Vilnius will host the inaugural Augalyn Fest on Sunday, August 23, at Cathedral Square. The one-day event, which expands from a four-year series of plant-based picnics organized by the Augalyn initiative, aims to present plant-based nutrition as an accessible and varied lifestyle choice rather than a niche specialty.

Scheduled from noon to 7 p.m., the free festival will feature food, music, workshops, and educational discussions. Programming includes sessions on children's nutrition and food preferences, the balance between processed convenience foods and home-prepared meals, and the role of historical Lithuanian culinary traditions in modern eating habits.
