Viltrox launches 5‑Inch DC‑T1 external monitor for smartphone creators

Viltrox announced the DC‑T1, a compact 5‑inch external monitor aimed at mobile content creators. The device features a Full HD (1920 × 1080) IPS panel with 400 nits of brightness and a lightweight 112 g chassis. It connects to compatible smartphones via USB‑C using DisplayPort output, providing a stable wired link that avoids the lag and interference of wireless solutions.

The monitor offers full‑touch camera controls, allowing users to adjust focus, exposure and shooting modes directly on the screen, with shortcut buttons for quick access. Additional tools include a false‑color exposure aid and four display orientations (standard, flip, mirror and flip‑mirror) to accommodate various rig setups. Multiple mounting interfaces—cold shoe, 1/4‑inch thread and ARRI‑compatible mount—let creators integrate the monitor with rigs, lights, microphones and other accessories. Reverse‑charging support lets connected phones draw power from the monitor for extended recording sessions. The DC‑T1 is priced at US$102.60 and is positioned for vloggers, livestreamers and solo filmmakers who wish to use rear‑camera quality while maintaining real‑time framing on a larger screen.
