Viltrox launches AF 35mm F1.4 Pro lens for Sony and Nikon

Viltrox has announced the AF 35mm F1.4 Pro, a full-frame prime lens designed for Sony E-mount and Nikon Z-mount cameras. This release completes the company’s Pro series trinity, following the previous 50mm and 85mm models.

The lens features an optical design of 16 elements in 11 groups, including two ultra-precision aspherical elements, three ED elements, and four high-refractive-index elements. It is equipped with a dual HyperVCM autofocus system, which is claimed to enable focus shifts in as little as 100ms. The lens also includes an 11-blade diaphragm, a de-clickable aperture ring, and a minimum focusing distance of 0.3m.

Designed for professional use, the lens includes weather sealing to resist dust and moisture, a USB-C port for firmware updates, and a customizable Fn button. The global MSRP is set at US$829, €859, or £739.
