Vimag Labs begins production at new Haryana facility

Vimag Labs has commenced operations at its first manufacturing facility in Met City, Jhajjar, Haryana. The plant specializes in the manufacture and assembly of motor and control systems, including the company’s proprietary magnet-free motor technology.

The facility currently covers 10,000 square feet with the potential to expand to 20,000 square feet. It utilizes advanced production methods, including clean-room areas, Industry 4.0 systems, and IoT-enabled monitoring to ensure traceability and quality control. The initial phase focuses on the serial production of mid-power motor and control systems for electric mobility and other electrified applications.

Vimag Labs plans to invest approximately ₹50 crore in a phased manufacturing build-out across India, deploying capital as customer programs and production volumes increase. The company has already exported its first production batch from the Jhajjar site. Future goals include moving into high-power systems of 570 kW and above, with a target capacity of up to 10,000 motor and control systems per month.
