Vimmerby Hockey adds Hampus Karlsson as key player while Robin Höglund retires

Former SHL forward Hampus Karlsson, 25, has signed with Vimmerby Hockey and is expected to take a key role for the club's upcoming season. Karlsson comes from a stint as assistant captain with IK Oskarshamn and previously posted 36 points in 52 games for Kalmar HC in Hockeyettan. He said he is excited about the fresh start and the club’s commitment.

Veteran forward Robin Höglund, 33, announced his retirement after a career that included multiple Swedish clubs and a period in North America. Höglund, a former fan favourite in Vimmerby during the 2017‑19 seasons, posted a farewell message thanking teammates, family and supporters, and hinted at future plans beyond hockey.
