Vin Blaine appointed Director of Football for Belize

Vin Blaine, the former head coach of Jamaica’s national women’s team, has been appointed as the Director of Football for the Football Federation of Belize (FFB). Blaine signed a two-year contract with an option to renew, succeeding Phillip Marin, who has moved to a different role within the federation.

Blaine’s responsibilities include overseeing technical programs, national teams, coach education, and player development. He aims to build a competitive international program and improve the administration and organization of the sport in Belize. He also expressed a desire to leave a legacy that allows a local director to eventually succeed him.

FFB President Sergio Chuc stated that the appointment is part of an effort to strengthen technical leadership with regional experience. To support this transition, the federation has also hired a qualified deputy to understudy Blaine, with the goal of eventually returning the position to a Belizean professional.
