VINAFOSA marks 25th anniversary with focus on food safety technology

The Vietnam Association for Food Safety Science and Technology (VINAFOSA) celebrated its 25th anniversary with a seminar focused on next-generation food packaging and technology. The event aimed to address food safety requirements and the development of a circular economy.

During the seminar, experts and stakeholders discussed applying new technologies in food processing, preservation, and packaging to enhance product quality and resource efficiency. VINAFOSA Chairman Le Van Giang emphasized the importance of connecting scientific research with production practices to drive technological innovation and sustainable development in response to digital and green transformation trends.

Representatives from the Ministry of Health also highlighted the need for science-based management, improved testing capabilities, early warning systems, and enhanced traceability throughout the food supply chain. The discussions coincided with ongoing efforts to amend the Law on Food Safety to increase transparency and clarify responsibilities for organizations and individuals.
