Vinalesa honors martyrs on 25th beatification anniversary

The parish of San Honorato in Vinalesa is commemorating the 25th anniversary of the beatification of martyrs Arturo Ros Montalt and Father Aurelio.

To mark the occasion, the parish has commissioned two large-scale canvases depicting the two figures. These works, created by fine arts student Ricardo González del Alba, will be blessed during a special Eucharist presided over by Salvador Giménez Valls, the emeritus Bishop of Lleida. Following the blessing, the paintings will be placed in the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament to reinforce the presence of the martyrs within the local community. The parish currently maintains relics of the martyrs, including an 'ex ossibus' relic for Father Aurelio and a discipline or cilice used by Arturo Ros.
