Vinaròs implements sports facility upgrades and employment training programs
The Vinaròs City Council is advancing several initiatives to improve municipal infrastructure and local employment. Through the Municipal Sports Service, the city has undertaken repairs, material replacements, and structural updates at the Ciutat Esportiva to ensure safer conditions for athletes and the public.
A significant milestone in these upgrades is the activation of a fire protection system at the municipal multi-sport pavilion, addressing a deficiency that had remained unresolved for over a decade. Sports Councilor Luis Adell stated that while many facilities still require work due to years of accumulated needs, the priority remains transforming these requirements into concrete actions to improve safety and service.
In a separate initiative, the City Council has secured a subsidy of 580,454 euros to launch a training and employment program. The project aims to hire 20 student-workers for 12 months, supported by two instructors and one director. The program is divided into two specialized tracks: one focusing on masonry and painting to maintain public spaces like the bullring and primary schools, and another focusing on youth leisure and cultural activity programming.
