Vinaròs resumes rural road vegetation clearing

The Vinaròs City Council has resumed clearing and cleaning vegetation from rural roads following the end of extreme wildfire risk alerts. The maintenance, coordinated by the Department of Agriculture, focuses on removing plant debris from ditches to improve driver visibility and enhance road safety.

Agustín Molinero, the Councilor for Agriculture, noted that while maintenance was performed during the early summer, activities were temporarily suspended due to extreme fire risk decrees issued by the Generalitat Valenciana. The suspension was intended to prevent work from inadvertently triggering fires during periods of high temperatures.

Work is currently being carried out in areas including La Carrasca, Peníscola, Cocons, Dos Vilas, Carretes, Xivert, Comilles, Mas de Brau, and La Parreta. The municipality plans to intensify these cleaning and maintenance efforts throughout September.
