Joycity signs MLSPA license for FreeStyle Football 2

Joycity has announced a licensing partnership with the Major League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA) and OneTeam Partners for its upcoming title, ‘FreeStyle Football 2’. This agreement allows the developer to utilize player intellectual property, including names, jersey numbers, and images, to recreate Major League Soccer (MLS) players as in-game characters.

Rather than using standard data, Joycity intends to redesign player characters to match the game’s specific graphical style and fast-paced gameplay. Each character will feature unique appearances and dedicated skills that reflect the real-life traits of the professional athletes. The partnership was facilitated by OneTeam Partners, which manages licensing for professional sports athletes.
