Vincent Kompany defends Bayern Munich performance ahead of Leipzig match
Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany stated that his team is gradually approaching its peak form despite recent setbacks. The German champions have drawn their last two matches across all competitions: a 2-2 draw against Augsburg in the Bundesliga and a 3-3 draw against Norwegian side Viking in the Champions League.
Kompany noted that the recent results do not reflect the full picture, highlighting that the team recorded 50 shots on target during those two matches. He expressed confidence that with minor improvements, the squad will return to its best levels.
Bayern Munich currently sits third in the Bundesliga, two points behind leaders Freiburg and Borussia Dortmund. The club faces a demanding schedule, including upcoming fixtures against RB Leipzig, Arsenal in the Champions League, and a Bundesliga summit against Borussia Dortmund on October 31.
